Sermon Recap: Acts 3:1-26

Wonder and the Word

Acts 3:1-26

This week, we saw that the Spirit of God works through His people to exalt the name of Jesus and reveal the glory of God. In the healing of the lame man, we were reminded that the Spirit moves in ordinary moments to display His extraordinary power. Peter’s bold preaching shows that every miracle is an opportunity to point to Christ, calling the world to see Jesus as the crucified and risen Lord. And just as Peter urged the crowd, the Spirit calls us today to respond with repentance and faith, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. Because Christ has been glorified at the Father’s right hand, we are invited to live Spirit-empowered lives that lift high His name in word and deed.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Where have you seen God work in ordinary routines or unexpected moments?

  2. Peter redirected attention from himself to Jesus. In what ways can we intentionally use moments of influence or blessing to point others to Christ?

  3. Peter calls for repentance and faith so that “times of refreshing may come.” How have you experienced this refreshment in your walk with Christ?

  4. What might it look like to live each day in a posture of ongoing repentance and faith?
