Christ Above All
Old Town Church is all about the gospel: the good news of Jesus Christ.
The gospel is not good advice about what you must do to reach God—it is good news about what God has done to reach you.
At the heart of Christianity is a person: Jesus Christ. He lived the life we should have lived—perfectly loving God and neighbor. And He died the death we should have died—taking upon Himself the judgment our sin deserves. But three days later, He rose from the dead, proving that sin and death do not have the last word.
Through Jesus, God is not merely offering you a second chance—He’s offering you a new identity. By grace, not by your performance, you can be fully accepted and loved by God. When you trust in Jesus, your past doesn’t define you—His righteousness does.
This is not a call to religion but to relationship. A transformed heart, not just improved behavior. Christianity isn’t for the strong—it’s for the weary. Not for the righteous—but for the sinner.
This is the gospel: You are more sinful than you ever dared believe, yet more loved and accepted in Christ than you ever dared hope.
Come and see what this means for your life.
