OTC Kids
we want to change lives for eternity by showing kids who God is through loving them well and teaching them God’s Word.
Birth – Pre-K
During the worship service, we have classrooms available to teach our littlest ones about Jesus. Our goal is to introduce the gospel through play, music and movement, and simple songs.
The classrooms are staffed by volunteers from within the church who have been pre-screened and trained to serve.
Elementary (K–5)
Kids in kindergarten through 5th grade participate with their parents in the worship service on Sunday mornings.
We also recognize this can bring some challenges. Below you will find some tips for how to best lead your kids during the worship service.
During the fall and spring semesters, our elementary kids have their own dedicate class on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 PM where they learn gospel truths in a safe and fun environment.

OTC Kids does this through the teaching of God’s Word in a fun, interactive and encouraging way so that kids begin to see and understand His character and basic gospel foundational truths can be introduced in an age-appropriate way.

We use Gospel-centered curriculum to teach kids that the Bible is God's true, holy, and trustworthy word. We believe kids can learn the basic truths of the faith even at a young age. We incorporate these truths into all parts of our kids' ministry.

We seek Jesus’ guidance in planning all parts of OTC Kids. We regularly pray that our kids will see God at work in their lives, trust in Jesus, and depend on the power of the Holy Spirit to equip them with everything they need.

God created kids as unique gifts whom he loves. We want kids to learn that God's greatest love is expressed in the gospel and it is the privilege of every OTC Kids volunteer to be able to share the gospel with the kids in our care.

We will use our time and giftedness to pour into the lives of the children of Old Town Church to help them know and grow in God’s love for themselves and others.
Tips for Worshiping Together
Discuss the different elements of the service with your child beforehand. Explain what they will see and why these elements are important. It may be helpful to establish your expectations before bringing your child into the service for the first time.
Remember, your children are observing you. Your own perspective of the service will influence how your child perceives it.
Motivate your children to sing along with the music. Moreover, you can encourage your child to take notes by providing them with a journal or paper. For younger children, they can draw a picture that represents what they have heard. As your children grow older, you may ask them to jot down words they hear repeatedly or any questions they have.
Engage in conversations with your child about what they saw and heard during the corporate worship service. This time allows for numerous opportunities to have gospel-centered discussions with your children.
